Page Designer (SFCC) – Definition
Page Designer is Salesforce Commerce Cloud's native page-building tool, letting marketing teams visually assemble pages from predefined components.
Page Designer allows homepages, landing pages, and campaign pages to be built by drag-and-drop — without direct code changes. The available building blocks (regions and components) are created in advance by developers and made available in Business Manager. Page Designer offers considerably more flexibility than plain content slots, but it reaches its limits with complex multilingual workflows, cross-market coordination, and approval processes. Because Page Designer pages are tied to a single SFCC site, teams running many markets from separate site instances often end up rebuilding the same campaign page manually for each market rather than maintaining one page that gets systematically localized. Page Designer also lacks native, structured approval workflows: routing a page through legal, brand, and marketing sign-off before publication typically requires manual coordination outside the tool itself, which is one of the more common reasons growing teams look to a specialized CMS layered on top of Page Designer's foundation.
