Peak season readiness depends on separating content deployment from code deployment, having instant content rollback available, and adding heightened approval rigor for critical content types instead of a blanket publishing halt. Readiness should be tested well before the peak period itself, not assumed — running a rehearsal that simulates a high-pressure scenario (a pricing error discovered during a live flash sale, for instance) and timing how quickly the team can detect and correct it reveals gaps in tooling or process while there's still time to fix them, rather than discovering those gaps for the first time during the actual event.
